What is NWEA?
NWEA, also known as "MAP," is a computer-based bench-marking system that each student at Hackett takes three times a year (Fall, Winter and Spring). The NWEA test adjusts to each student's learning level throughout the testing period, and provides teachers with a suggested learning range. This information is used to place students appropriately in the classroom and within learning groups. The student's continued progress also helps determine if they will benefit from Reading or AIS supports.
